Carterton School

Classroom Positive Incentive Programme

How it works:

Mahi Pai:
Students who work well in class can be recognised with their name recorded on Mahi Pai (good work).  This will lead to a reward, such as a click on their click cards.

Mahi Kino:
Students who break one of the Assertive Discipline or school rules will get their name recorded on Mahi Kino (bad work). This will result in their name being removed from the positive behaviour prize draw that takes place during school assemblies.

The Assembly Draw:
Every student who has gone through the two weeks leading up to assembly without getting a Mahi Kino will be entered in the draw to win a prize from one of the sponsors listed below.  This system recognises those students who consistently demonstrate appropriate classroom behaviour.
